What is D6 level of care?
Levels of care are essentially types of residential care in New Zealand for older adults.
Currently there are four ‘levels of care’ in NZ. They are Rest Home, Hospital, Rest Home Dementia, and Psychogeriatric Specialist Hospital Care. The range of needs within these levels can differ widely.
D6 is an older term that may be used in parts of the South Island. It is a term that describes Psychogeriatric Specialist Hospital Care shown as Psychogeriatric Care on Eldernet Residential Care. See Eldernet Residential Care Psychogeriatric for D6 vacancies. https://www.eldernet.co.nz/vacancies/psychogeriatric-care
