There is Registered Nurse coverage 24 hours per day.

The rest home and hospital is a senior care facility which has particularly strong connections to the local community- there are many volunteers who spend their time assisting and entertaining residents.

Activities range from wheel chair walkers to housie players, to entertainment from community groups, to regular church services.

A mini-bus is used for twice weekly shopping trips and for outings.

With the local village being just 3 blocks away; local amenities, the library, shops, banks and the post office are all close by.
