Nurse Practitioner Yes We are fortunate to have the services of Margaret O'Connor, Nurse Practitioner.
Registered Nurse Yes There are registered nurses on site 24 hours a day.
Enrolled Nurse Yes There are enrolled nurses available on site.
Healthcare Assistants/Caregivers Yes We are fortunate to have most staff with NZ Health and Wellbeing, as well as some staff with Level 4 NZ Certificate.
Physiotherapist Yes Lee works at Peacehaven everyday along side our Diversional Therapists and Activity Co-ordinators.
Occupational Therapist Yes Shannon has just started with us working with the Diversional Therapists ans Activity Co-ordinators.
Diversional Therapist Yes We have three diversional therapists working in this area.
Activities Co-ordinator Yes All staff have experience and skills supporting residents quality of life.
Hairdresser Yes There are hairdressing services available onsite at Peacehaven should you wish to use this.
Podiatrist Yes Planned regular visits are made and referrals can be made through our staff onsite. This may be at your expense if you are not diabetic. We also have our own nail technician who visits all residents.
Dietitian Yes Our menu has just been revised and we provide meals to a high standard. Dietitian involvement is available for those with specialist needs.
Accredited Visitors Yes We have canine friends, volunteers and entertainment groups to visit.
Kaumatua Yes Presbyterian Support Southland has a Cultural Advisor who can assist in making appropriate contacts for Residents. We also have links with local Marae and Kaumatua.
Chaplain/Spiritual Advisor Yes Cyril visits the area weekly, and residents with volunteer support attend chapel services. On request a large chapel on site is available to be used, to provide spiritual support for church services, funerals, weddings and christenings.
Other Personnel Yes We have regular visits to the site from SDHB specialist Mandy Pagan-wound specialist. Raewyn Healey visits as our quality control manager to assist with ensuring we meet certification requirements and standards. We also have our own Music Therapist.

Ensuite Yes Most rooms have an adjoining/shared ensuite, however there are a small number of rooms that have their own ensuite, that has a premium charge.

Pets In Residence Yes We have a quiet cat who spends time wandering the Iona Unit and various visiting small animals.

Special Features
Special Features
Peacehaven facilitry has a wonderful new walkway that was officially opened in 2014. This walkway is accessed by staff, residents and relatives and is home to many pieces of interesting art and sculptures. On fine days, you can often see staff supporting residents around the walkway.
We have an excellent Cafe onsite that entices you to spend time over great coffee and wonderful food with your loved one. When you have enjoyed your coffee please take part in a game of indoor bowling on our full size raised bowling table.
If you want to have time out, our large warm Chapel is available at any time when it is not being used for any type of service.

Additional Information
Details re Meals Nutritious and hearty meals are provided daily from our fabulous kitchen team. Our menus are designed by Dietitians to ensure appropriate calorie and nutritional content.
Staffing Details We have a large number of staff on site for a variety of shifts. New and experienced carers, enrolled and registered nurses, housekeeping, laundry, kitchen, front of house and a dedicated maintenance crew all contribute to making Peacehaven a great place to be.
Associated Complexes As part of the wider Presbyterian Support Southland organisation, we have associated facilities: Vickery Court, Walmsley and Resthaven in Gore.
