About Eastcliffe

Eastcliffe logo

Hospital-level care at Eastcliffe—clinical expertise shaped by genuine relationships. Eastcliffe’s private hospital offers calm, personalised support for residents with complex medical or palliative needs. Our care is grounded in clinical excellence—and shaped by connection, responsiveness, and respect.

We follow our residents’ lead. That means noticing the small things, supporting daily choices, and engaging in ways that reflect each person’s energy, preferences, and wellbeing. Our team builds relationships that matter—especially with whānau and EPOA health representatives—ensuring shared understanding and continuity of care at every step.

Our senior nurses and caregivers are aged care specialists, deeply invested in ongoing training and mentorship. Many have been with Eastcliffe for years, offering consistent, thoughtful care and guidance through changing needs.

We work with each resident and their family to develop a tailored nursing plan—balancing medical goals with comfort, identity, and personal routine. This collaborative approach helps make transitions feel calm, dignified, and well supported.

Hospital rooms are spacious, private, and include an en-suite bathroom. Interiors are neutral and calming, ready to be personalised with items that feel familiar and comforting.

Social engagement is gently embedded in daily life, led by our Kia ora team. Residents can participate in activities like music therapy, physiotherapy, movies, or happy hour—or simply relax over a proper coffee with family in our café. Activities are offered, not expected—respecting each resident’s rhythm.

Meals are freshly prepared by our in-house chefs using seasonal, high-quality ingredients. We cater to all dietary needs, including softer meals for residents with difficulty eating. Whānau are welcome to join in for meals, celebrations, or quiet visits.

Our central location in Ōrākei—close to Parnell, Remuera, Mission Bay, St Heliers, Kohimarama, and the CBD—makes it easy for families to stay connected and for residents to remain in their trusted community.
