Description
Our Care Offering
Soaking in the Bay sunshine, The Bayview is in the perfect location. With a family-friendly feel, fresh and inviting living areas and spacious Care Suites, at The Bayview you’ll quickly feel right at home.

A Place to Call Home
Living in a Care Suite, you can enjoy the flexibility and control you're used to along with that bit of luxury you deserve. Care Suites are suitable for both rest home and hospital care and there is a choice of either an open plan bedroom and lounge, or separate bedroom and living spaces. All Care Suites have a kitchenette with fridge and microwave perfect for making a cuppa when friends and family visit, as well as a full ensuite bathroom and heat pump. You own the right to occupy your Care Suite so you can truly make it your own with your favourite furniture and treasured pieces.

Care Suites are suitable for rest home and hospital level care - so if you need extra support the care comes to you with no need to move. A DHB assessment is not required for care that is paid for privately.

We don’t have visiting hours at The Bayview because we know it’s important you stay connected to your community. It’s home so friends and family can join you anytime for a catch up and a bite to eat from the cafe. We’re just around the corner from the highway, so it’s a breeze for visitors to pop in, or get you out and about to local shops and eateries.

Activities Programme
Hop in the village van for a jaunt, you never know where it will take you next. Hot chips by the beach or off to the aviation museum, there’s an exciting new destination each week. Or if it’s music you’re in to, enjoy your own personalised playlist with I Love Music. Furry friends, cooking classes, Men’s and Ladies groups and theme days, there’s something for everyone no matter what you’re interested in.

Food
Tender Sunday roasts, hot fish and chips and scrummy homemade puddings… there’s a reason why the dining room is full before dinner! All of the above are regular features on our menu, which is packed with tasty family favourites you’d make at home.

Award Winning Care
Great care is what we do and we’ve got the accolades to prove it. Oceania’s won the Supreme Award from the NZ Aged Care Association three years in a row, so you can be sure you’re in good hands. When it comes to your care, you know what you like and don’t like - and we want to know your preferences too. Because everyone is different all of our residents get a personalised care plan, so from meals to medications, everything that’s important to you is covered.
