May Bring Own Furniture Yes Our philosophy is one of 'Aparangi is the residents home'. The whole concept of our Premium and Studio rooms allows folk to furnish them either partially still using allocated furnishings or fully to their hearts delight with their own furnishings.
Single Rooms Yes All rooms are single with the all of them having their own en suite toilet and wash basin. Currently eight rooms have full en suite - shower / wash basin / toilet.
Rooms suitable for a couple Yes There are no shared rooms however we have couples in residence who each have a room though one of them is a studio room allowing for use as a main sitting room.
Ensuite Yes Our 40 square metre studio rooms have full en suite that allow for ease of use and "tons of room to swing a cat". All other rooms have ensuite toilet and wash basin.

Pets In Residence Yes Henry is the current lodger. He is a lovely ginger tabby pussy cat. There is also a aviary currently sprouting baby budgies and finches.

Confused Residents Yes We take care of confused residents, or those with a diagnosis of dementia. However, we are not a specialized secure dementia care facility, and therefore cannot safely care for residents at risk of wandering.
Rural Setting Yes Set in the North Waikato township of Te Kauwhata. It's 40 minutes to Hamilton and Manukau, an hour to Central Auckland.

Shops   Just a short walk to the Te Kauwhata town centre.
Parks   There are two beautiful lakes within Aparangi Village itself.
Library   There is a large library within Simmons Hall, adjacent to the Residential Care Unit. As well as this, the Te Kauwhata Public Library is a short walk down the road.
