A Guide to Aged Residential Care A Guide to Aged Residential Care A Guide to Aged Residential Care

Care at Metlifecare is deeply personal and always personalised.

Our Aged Residential Care supports every resident to live a fulfilling life in a safe and welcoming setting that feels like home.

We take time to get to know you, so we can better support and care for you. We’ll develop a personalised care plan with you – to understand your preferences and help you to continue doing the things you love.

Your friends and family will always be welcome to spend time with you, and they can join in for meals and celebrations as well as pop in for a cup of tea and chat.

The need for care can be unpredictable, making it hard to guarantee that a care place will be available at times. Although we can’t always control availability, we encourage you to get in touch - we are here to help. People come first, always. That’s our Care Promise.

CARE AT PINESONG VILLAGE
In keeping with Pinesong’s gorgeous surroundings, set in 8 hectares of lush gardens and a beautiful native bush reserve, the Village’s boutique care home is a notch above the standard care home offering. Rooms all enjoy a large ensuite, fitted wardrobe with shelving and air conditioning. We provide care up to Hospital Level, so whatever your needs may be we can cater to it.

The rooms are furnished to a high standard with a wheeled reclining chair as well as a conventional armchair and fully adjustable hospital bed. There is plenty of opportunity for you to personalise your room to make it feel more like home.

Our professional and dedicated staff are here to provide you with excellent care – we pride ourselves on our resident-directed care. This means that we offer as many options as possible to encourage you to have input into how you prefer to receive your care. You may even decide on your schedule; the choice is yours.

We provide tasty meals options cooked from fresh ingredients – you have the choice of 2 main meals each day, but the chef also offers several alternatives if the set meal doesn’t suit you.

The activities programme is run in conjunction with residents from other areas of the village and within Pinesong’s many beautiful facilities and surroundings, which allows you to mix and mingle with everyone, whilst one-on-one sessions are also offered for those who choose not to participate in group activities.

There are plenty of benefits to living in Pinesong's care home:
• 24 hour care and support
• Socialisation – studies show moving into a care home significantly reduces depression, loneliness and boredom
• Great food – many people who move into care rediscover their love of food. They gain weight and enjoy the ritual of eating meals with other residents, rather than at home, alone.
