Pinehaven Cottage is a 10 bed privately owned, elderly care home, situated in an idyllic, sheltered, north facing location 3 minutes north of Orewa. We provide 24-hour long-term care, short term support and respite care for individuals of varying ages. We offer both rest home and secure dementia levels of care.

Interests & Activities

We aim to keep our residents in touch with the local community by encouraging as many visits as possible from entertainers, church people, friends and relations. Pinehaven offers a weekly activity programme which incorporates music, crosswords & quiz's, gentle physical exercises & games and outings. We also encourage craft activities as well as gardening for those who are interested. A number of residents attend weekly clubs in Orewa & Whangaparaoa - The hairdresser visits fortnightly. We have a modern mini bus available for shopping, drives etc. Our home is warm and comfortable with large lounge areas, for those wishing to read, chat, or just relax and enjoy the atmopshere. The efficient wood burner fire provides heating and a welcoming atmosphere during the winter months. Visitors are welcome between 9am and 8pm. |
