Service Description

Home Help: this may include housework, meal preparation, shopping, laundry.

Personal Care: this may include showering, bathing, feeding, transporting to appointments, grooming, dressing, assistance with mobility/transferring.

Some Child Care available through ACC if you have had an accident.

Free assistance can be allocated by Needs Assessors for someone to come into your home and look after your dependent loved-one so you can have a break.

From three Offices we cover the majority of Northland.

Far North Office, in Kaitaia, for areas north of Hokianga/Kaeo.

Mid North Office, in Kerikeri, for the mid north (Kawakawa, Moerewa, Kaikohe, Paihia, Russell, Kerikeri).

Whangarei Office, in Whangarei, for the greater Whangarei area.

Subsidy Details
Home help is available free through the health system if you have a disability or are over 65 and have a community services card.

Personal care is available free to disabled people and those over 65 requiring it.

ACC allocates a range of 'at-home' services to people recovering from an accident.

We can also provide hospital-funded home help for a short while to you while you recover from a spell in hospital.
