About Woodlands Rest Home and Village
Woodlands is located on Edgewood Crescent in Motueka, a town known for its sunshine, friendly community and proximity to some of the region’s most beautiful natural landmarks. The centre sits close to Memorial Park, Thorp’s Bush Reserve and the Motueka town centre, giving residents easy access to green spaces, shops and cafés.
The centre provides Rest Home and Hospital care, supported by a compassionate team who offer personalised, respectful care. Residents can choose from comfortable rooms, including Premium options such as our Care Suites. With shared lounges and garden areas designed to feel welcoming and familiar, the environment promotes calm, comfort and connection.

Woodlands provides rest home, hospital and end of life care and has choice from standard rooms to Care Suites, so no matter your needs or budget there are plenty of options.
We don’t have visiting hours at Woodlands because we know it’s important you stay connected to your community. It’s home, so friends and family can join you anytime for a cuppa and catch up. We’re just around the corner from the town centre and Coastal Highway, so it’s a breeze for visitors to pop in, or get you out and about to local shops and cafes.
If it’s music you’re in to, enjoy your own personalised playlist with I Love Music. Furry friends, amazing art, a sensory room and theme days, there’s something for everyone no matter what you’re interested in.

Our Care Suites offer space, flexibility and extra features. Suitable for either Rest Home or Hospital care, you don’t have to move if your needs change between these levels. All Care Suites come complete with a heat pump and full en-suite bathroom, as well as a kitchenette with a fridge and a kettle – perfect for making a cuppa when friends and family come to visit. You own the right to occupy your Care Suite, so you can personalise it with your favourite furniture and treasured pieces. A Health New Zealand – Te Whatu Ora assessment is not required for care that is paid for privately.

We offer a range of Premium rooms in different sizes, each with varying features to suit your needs and budget. Depending on the room you choose, features may include an ensuite or Jack and Jill bathroom, a pleasant outlook, or outdoor access, helping you feel comfortable and at home.
Standard rooms are large enough for a single bed, a chair and a wardrobe or chest of drawers. The cost of a standard room is included in the Care Services Fee set by the Health New Zealand – Te Whatu Ora.

NOTE: The Retirement Villages Act 2003 (The Act) is designed to provide improved protection for people who 'buy' into a retirement village. If you intend to 'purchase' you must get independent legal advice before signing your occupation right agreement as required under The Act. Some Retirement Village type facilities are not required to register under The Act so different legal requirements apply. Please make sure you investigate fully.
In some villages there may be some Retirement Village units that have multiple uses e.g. a Serviced Apartment may also be used as a Residential Care Suite. The same unit may therefore show in several places on Eldernet.
