Family-friendly is how we’re often described by our residents - and we certainly live up to that reputation! From the staff who greet you in the hallways, to the fresh and inviting living spaces, at Woodlands you’ll feel right at home. Our main lounge is a vibrant hub of activity. Follow the music and laughter to find a friend to chat to, or to join in the day’s events. Or if it’s peace and quiet you crave, explore the bountiful gardens, or relax in a comfy chair in one of our many cosy nooks.

Woodlands provides rest home, hospital and end of life care and has choice from standard rooms to Care Suites, so no matter your needs or budget there are plenty of options.

We don’t have visiting hours at Woodlands because we know it’s important you stay connected to your community. It’s home, so friends and family can join you anytime for a cuppa and catch up. We’re just around the corner from the town centre and Coastal Highway, so it’s a breeze for visitors to pop in, or get you out and about to local shops and cafes.

If it’s music you’re in to, enjoy your own personalised playlist with I Love Music. Furry friends, amazing art, a sensory room and theme days, there’s something for everyone no matter what you’re interested in.

Tender Sunday roasts, hot fish and chips and scrummy homemade puddings… there’s a reason why the dining room is full before dinner! All of the above are regular features on our menu, which is packed with tasty family favourites you’d make at home. You’ll be sure to be up for second helpings!

Oceania is a leading provider of premium healthcare services in New Zealand. With over 40 locations across the country, we’ve been part of local communities for over 50 years. We’re recognised as industry leaders in care, winning awards for innovation, food, staff training and community engagement.

When it comes to your care, you know what you do and don’t like – and we want to know your preferences too. Because everyone is different, all of our residents receive a personalised care plan, so everything that’s important to you - from meals to medications - is covered.
