About Westella Homestead
Located just outside of Feilding in the Manawatu, Westella provides specialist dementia care for kaumātua (older people). We welcome residents from all over Aotearoa, New Zealand.
Our 26-bedroom homestead, set within seven acres of picturesque park grounds, offers a secure and welcoming space for residents. We provide a full range of wellbeing services and innovative supports to help residents live full, connected lives.
At Westella, our care and our holistic approach is guided by the needs of residents. We foster an environment of dignity and wellbeing by creating opportunities every day for connection - whether through friendships with fellow residents, spending time in nature, engaging in activities, or connecting with whānau, friends and the wider community.

Special features
Set in 7 acres of grounds, this facility is a sheltered park-like safe environment. New rooms have been built to fit in with the rimu wood panelling of the traditional homestead providing a familiar comfortable feeling to our residents.
Interests & activities
Activity Programme for Day Clients
Westella Homestead offers a holistic program for clients in the community in need of a therapeutic day program.
The program has been designed to care for the whole person in a compassionate and supportive environment, and includes relaxation,meditation and creative therapies such as art and music therapy as well as physical and mental activities.
We are also able to take advantage of Westella Homestead's unique environment and offer pet therapy and gardening activities.
The programme is run by a qualified Diversional Therapist and supported by current research.
The programme runs Monday to Friday between 9.30am and 3.30pm
