About Waireka Lifecare
With a lovely rural outlook, Waireka is a tranquil place situated in serene and spacious grounds, once part of the famous Forty Mile Bush. Our comfortable Rest Home and personalised approach to care ensures we’re always ready to listen, and we look forward to getting to know you and your family.
We pride ourselves in shaping our days around the needs and preferences of our residents. We say “your day – your way”. This means putting each resident in charge of their own day – from when they want to get up, to when and how they like their care. We also make sure there’s plenty of leisure activity and entertainment that they can choose to join in if they wish.
Above all, our kind staff respect our resident’s rights to independence and dignity.
Our residents make their rooms their own – some with photos and ornaments, others with their own curtains, wall hangings and bedspreads.
Friends and family are welcome at any time, and can share a meal, a coffee or some of our entertainment – 7 days a week.
We would be delighted to have the opportunity to talk with you about our care.
