About Thornbury House

Thornbury House is a smaller personal Dementia Care Rest Home. We provide comfort and security whilst promoting a sense of community and companionship. Our focus is quality of care with a special emphasis on purposeful activities. Our aim is that every resident will be the "best" they can be at whatever "stage" they are. To endeavour to meet this aim, besides our very experienced care staff, we have a wonderful Diversional Therapist with over 25years of service. We offer activities every day, weekends included.
Our rest home has two areas. We call these "The House" and "The Cottage". The two areas are under the same roof and residents are able to go freely between the two areas. Our cottage accommodates residents who are still able to be a little more independent. Beside the bedrooms in this area there are another two lovely living rooms where some residents prefer to spend their day.
