About The Point

The Point logo

The Point Care Centre
Takaparawhau

The Point Care Centre offers a comprehensive range of care, including respite, rest home and hospital-level care, and palliative care.

Care is personalised around each resident’s needs, routines and preferences, with residents encouraged to take the lead in their own lifestyle wherever possible. Our clinical team works collaboratively with residents and family/whānau to support independence, comfort and wellbeing.

We believe in a physically active, mentally stimulating and socially connected lifestyle – one that brings a real sense of purpose and meaning, all within a warm and supportive environment.

The activity programme is tailored to residents’ interests and reviewed regularly to ensure variety and relevance. It is led by our Diversional Therapists, with input from our Physiotherapist.

The amenity on offer within the wider village, provides great opportunity for our care centre residents to participate and enjoy.

The comprehensive activities programme extends to outings in the broader community. Coupled with the very popular armchair travel and Virtual Reality sessions with Rendever, the residents can truly explore the world.
