About Summerset by the Lake (Taupo)
Summerset villages are designed so that as your needs change you can generally access different levels of support to help you. We call this our continuum of care.
Serviced apartments are ideal if you want to retain your independence but need a little support, which we can provide with one of our service packages. And, if you've been assessed as needing rest home-level care, there's no need to move. This can be provided in your serviced apartment (subject to availability and eligibility).
We know that moving into care can be a challenging time and we understand that everyone’s situation is different. Contact our Sales Manager to help you decide what is best for you and your family. You can also request our free information pack by clicking on the button at the top of the screen.

What's included in your fees and what's not?
While most of the services we provide are included in your daily care fee such as meals and Caregiver assistance, you may require specialist or extra products or services. Additional services for which additional charges may be incurred, include but are not limited to services like Audiologists, Dentists, Hairdressers, Dry cleaning, Podiatry. Please speak to the Care Centre Manager if you have any questions.

Summerset offers contemporary food menus prepared on site with wholesome, seasonal, fresh, locally grown produce.
Special features
Summerset by the Lake has home-based support. This service is provided by site care staff under the direction of the Village Manager and Clinical Manager.

NOTE: The Retirement Villages Act 2003 (The Act) is designed to provide improved protection for people who 'buy' into a retirement village. If you intend to 'purchase' you must get independent legal advice before signing your occupation right agreement as required under The Act. Some Retirement Village type facilities are not required to register under The Act so different legal requirements apply. Please make sure you investigate fully.
In some villages there may be some Retirement Village units that have multiple uses e.g. a Serviced Apartment may also be used as a Residential Care Suite. The same unit may therefore show in several places on Eldernet.
