About Radius Thornleigh Park

Radius Thornleigh Park logo

A lot can be said through our hands — a welcome, a goodbye, a friendly embrace, a playful gesture, a sign of affection, or just the delivery of a cup of tea. As we enter later stages of life, the right support becomes essential. At Radius Thornleigh Park, we provide more than just care; we offer companionship, comfort, and a helping hand to make each day fulfilling and meaningful.

Located just 5.5 km from the CBD, Radius Thornleigh Park is a modern, single-level care home nestled within beautifully landscaped gardens. With recently built, contemporary rooms and a welcoming, family-like atmosphere, we ensure that every resident feels at home.

We offer rest home care, private hospital care, and specialized palliative and respite care—all within a comfortable and supportive environment.

OUR FOOD
Our kitchen team prepares fresh, nutritious, and delicious meals daily. Residents enjoy three main meals and snacks throughout the day, with a rotating four-week menu approved by a dietitian.

Favorites include classic fish and chips on Fridays and hearty roasts featuring lamb, pork, or beef. We also cater to special dietary needs, ensuring every resident enjoys meals suited to their preferences and requirements.

ACTIVITIES AND EVENTS
Our diverse activity program is designed to promote well-being, cognitive stimulation, and social engagement. Residents enjoy purposeful activities that bring laughter, fun, and fulfillment.

We take pride in our strong ties to the local community, including our Random Acts of Kindness Club, where residents create and share gifts like knitted items, baked treats, and vouchers—bringing joy to both givers and receivers.

STAYING CONNECTED
We keep families informed with a regular newsletter featuring updates and upcoming events. Residents also enjoy free Wi-Fi, allowing them to stay in touch with loved ones, browse the web, shop online, or stream their favorite content.

Additionally, we offer a phone package for $35 per month, including a user-friendly phone with oversized buttons, unlimited mobile and toll calls, and the option to retain an existing phone number.

Day Care is a supportive, social day-only programme, providing an ideal option for people who want the reassurance of professional support in a safe environment, without moving away from home.

What to expect when you enjoy the day with Radius Care:

At Radius Care we believe in providing the right support at the right time, so our broad mix of services covers everything from respite and rest-home to hospital-level care. Day Care fits within this continuum, offering structured daytime support, companionship, and relief for family carers, at one of our safe, secure and inviting care homes. In addition to Day Care, we can provide overnight or extended periods of support through Respite Care.

Our day programme includes:

- A delicious midday meal plus refreshments so there’s no need to worry about catering.
- Guests can relax in a friendly, homelike atmosphere, spending time with peers and making new friends.
- Join in activities designed to encourage social connection and fun, with time to chat, laugh and unwind.
- Outings, entertainment, and visits from special guests add variety to the week, and there’s always space for shared experiences.

Many of our Day Care and Respite Care guests find huge benefits in the extra social engagement and support – helping people to re-engage in loved activities that can be difficult alone at home or even to just enjoy a change of scenery and some extra social interaction.

Contact us to discuss availability and costs or call your nearest care home directly. You may also be eligible for funding assistance, and we can guide you through the application process.
