About Radius St Helenas
Radius St Helenas is centrally located in the Christchurch City area right on the edge of the CBD and is close to the main Christchurch arterial routes.
The entire St Helenas facility is easily accessible, parking on site, accessible parking available. All of the rooms having their own full ensuites attached for the privacy and independence of our residents. St Helenas is undergoing a room refurbishment stage and currently have fully refurbished rooms available for your inspection.
At Radius St Helenas we pride ourselves on our excellence of care and we are dedicated to maintain the wellbeing and independence of our residents. We encourage residents to bring their favourite possessions to help personalise their room, so they remain as much as possible with familiar surroundings. All of our rooms are a good size and have full ensuites attached.
Family and friends are always welcome to visit at any time and we encourage them to participate in our activities programme.
For residents' comfort and relaxation there are two privates centrally situated courtyards with gardens and a BBQ area. Around the facility we have beautiful colorful flowers for them to admire as they walk on the pathway surrounding the facility.
All our staff receive ongoing education in elder care. We have 24/7 Nurses coverage, and our experienced team of Caregivers are professional and compassionate.
In June 2024, Radius St Helenas was independently audited and certified for Four-years by the Ministry of Health. The audit process included a comprehensive review of policies and procedures, resident and staff files, observations, and interviews with residents, family/whānau, management, staff, and the home’s general practitioner. The results of a certification audit determine the length of time a care home is certified for which is generally between one to four years. A four-year certification is widely regarded as the gold-standard when it comes to aged-care in New Zealand.
We currently have rooms available for either Rest Home or Hospital Care.

Details about meals
Meals are an important part of life at Radius St Helenas. Our meals are provided by Cibus Catering. Our kitchen staff take pride in presenting tasty and attractive meals to our residents. All special therapeutic and cultural dietary needs are acknowledged and honoured. Morning and afternoon tea times are served daily. A four-week seasonal menu cycle is prepared by a dietitian.
Special features
Radius St Helenas Care Centre is situated on the edge of the main "4 Avenues". A 5-minute walk to the Avon River. Within a short drive to the The Palms and Eastgate malls. There is also the luxury of a "Café" right next door.
