About Radius Matua
Radius Matua is a modern bed rest home, hospital and dementia care facility that provides round the clock care for those who can no longer manage safely on their own.
We put the diverse care needs of our residents first. Our staff provide individualised care, that allows all our residents to live with dignity and as independently as possible.
Our park-like gardens and sheltered court yards provide a tranquile place to relax and spend time.
All the rooms of our residential care facility have their own individual attached ensuite.
We provide: - On site registered nurses 24 hours a day.
- Qualified staff on duty 24 hours a day.
- Breakfast and snacks served in individual rooms; other meals served in the communal dining room.
- Emergency call bells in all bedrooms.
- On site weekly church service.
- Access to specialist services in the hospital includes physiotherapy, occupational therapy, dietician and podiatry
- A full activities programme.
- Tasty nutritious meals; special and vegetarian meals are available if required.
- Flexible visiting hours.
The majority of the rooms are single, with a few double rooms for married couples or those who prefer the company.
All residents rooms are temperature controlled, and equipped with a telephone outlet and television points.
The hospital’s interior is designed to create a warm and comfortable atmosphere. Rest home lounges flow onto central courtyards "bringing the outdoors in".

NOTE: The Retirement Villages Act 2003 (The Act) is designed to provide improved protection for people who 'buy' into a retirement village. If you intend to 'purchase' you must get independent legal advice before signing your occupation right agreement as required under The Act. Some Retirement Village type facilities are not required to register under The Act so different legal requirements apply. Please make sure you investigate fully.
In some villages there may be some Retirement Village units that have multiple uses e.g. a Serviced Apartment may also be used as a Residential Care Suite. The same unit may therefore show in several places on Eldernet.
