About Radius Hawthorne
Advanced Dementia Care at Radius Hawthorne
At Radius Hawthorne in Christchurch, advanced dementia care is about more than safety—it’s about creating a calm, welcoming home where each resident feels secure, valued, and free to be themselves.
We offer two dedicated dementia care wings: one women-only wing for those who may feel more at ease in a gender-specific setting, and one mixed-gender wing. Both are thoughtfully designed with sensory-friendly features like colour-coded doors, soft lighting, and quiet lounges that support comfort and independence. There's even a protected garden with shaded seating, ideal for peaceful time outdoors.
Spacious rooms come with en suites and kitchenettes, and large windows look out onto our award-winning gardens. Daily life is shaped around connection—through personalised care, companionship, and activities that bring meaning and joy. Residents are encouraged to stay active and engaged in ways that suit them, supported by a caring team who take the time to really know each person.
Families tell us there’s a warmth and energy at Hawthorne you can feel the moment you walk in. We’d love to welcome you in to see it for yourself.
