About Arvida Park Lane CHC
At Park Lane, life is about positive ageing, keeping fit, learning new skills, expressing creativity and staying connected to the wider neighbourhood.
Set amidst tall oak trees and beautifully landscaped grounds, Park Lane’s contemporary accommodation, recreational facilities, shared gardens and community spaces are matched by a holistic approach to helping our residents live their best life.
While Park Lane is revolutionary in some regards, it offers the proven care level that Arvida is famous for. From independent villas and serviced apartments through to modern care rooms for rest home and hospital-level care, almost every type of living arrangement is available. A highlight for independent living is the new ergonomically-designed Living Well apartments, which are linked to recreational and social facilities by timber decks and garden walkways.

Special features
Park Lane has adopted “Cycling without Age” initiative, our bike (Rickshaw) arrived in September 2016 and has already had residents with the “wind in their hair” to the Christchurch Hospital, through Hagley Park and around the local streets – with residents waving gaily to bystanders. Residents love the freedom, smells, interaction with the environment and their local community – they feel a part of their local community. Rickshaw rides are scheduled at least three times a week with the DT (and Village volunteers) pedalling our Residents.

NOTE: The Retirement Villages Act 2003 (The Act) is designed to provide improved protection for people who 'buy' into a retirement village. If you intend to 'purchase' you must get independent legal advice before signing your occupation right agreement as required under The Act. Some Retirement Village type facilities are not required to register under The Act so different legal requirements apply. Please make sure you investigate fully.
In some villages there may be some Retirement Village units that have multiple uses e.g. a Serviced Apartment may also be used as a Residential Care Suite. The same unit may therefore show in several places on Eldernet.
