The Riverview Difference
∙ Not For Profit, 100% Locally Owned
∙ Ethical Ownership Structure That Protects Your Investment
∙ Nursing & Medical Centre On-site
∙ Beside Cafés, Grocery Store, Pharmacy, Shops and Library
∙ Picturesque, Idyllic Grounds
∙ Strong Community Feel
Established on sunny, elevated grounds and tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the main road, Riverview offers a tranquil ‘home away from home’ for seniors.
Those who have been assessed as needing Rest Home level care by any DHB Needs Assessment and Service Coordination service can choose from spacious single or double rooms, ideal for couples.
Riverview is uniquely placed in having our medical centre with doctors on-site, and a local pharmacy only a few meters away. Being a smaller rest home in comparison to those in the cities, we are the ideal choice to care for your loved one as our clinical care team are able to get to know all of our residents individually and develop a personalised care plan making provisions for their medical needs, health history, and likes and dislikes in their choice of recreational activities as well as dietary needs for our in-house cooks to consider.
Riverview residents, families and whanau are delighted with the many activities, and excursions our Diversional Therapist and Activities Team facilitate on a weekly basis for our residents, tailor made to suit differing levels of independence and mobility. These activities have really enhanced our residents’ wellbeing both socially and on a sensory level, helped by our close proximity to both soothing scenic rural settings and more social, stimulating urban outings such as to our local cafe.
A hairdresser is available for bookings on-site, Elite Feet Podiatry services operate throughout our region offering specialist podiatry services, and finally a well established physiotherapist clinic is based on-site operating from the medical centre also in close proximity ensuring that Riverview provides full access to all the services expected of a quality care facility.
