Livingwell is Otago’s trusted, independent hub for disability and accessibility support for older people, disabled people, and their whānau.

Located on Dunedin’s main street, Livingwell DRC provides free, impartial advice to help people navigate services, access equipment, and maintain independence. Our services include Disability Information and Advisory Services (DIAS), Total Mobility assessments, mobility and accessibility advice, and a mobile service that supports people in their own homes.

Livingwell also supplies continence products, with knowledgeable staff offering discreet, practical guidance to help people choose the right solutions for their needs. In addition, we provide assistive products nationwide, supporting independent living and ensuring people across Aotearoa can access reliable equipment and supports, wherever they live.

Service Description
Livingwell is an independent, community-based organisation providing disability and accessibility support to older people, disabled people, and their whānau across Otago.

Livingwell delivers Disability Information and Advisory Services (DIAS), offering free, impartial information, advice, and referral to help people understand their options and navigate health, disability, and community services. The service supports informed decision-making and promotes independence, dignity, and choice.

Additional services include Total Mobility assessments, mobility and accessibility advice, and a mobile service providing in-home support for those unable to visit the centre. Livingwell also supplies continence products, offering discreet guidance and practical solutions tailored to individual needs.

Livingwell provides a range of assistive products, available both locally and nationwide, to support independent living and participation in daily life. Services are informed by lived experience and guided by the Enabling Good Lives principles, ensuring a person- and whānau-centred approach that reduces barriers and strengthens community inclusion.
