LIVEABLE was created from a shared passion for helping people remain safe, independent and confident in the homes they love, giving them an alternative to having to go into supported living. Bringing together Occupational Therapist Jo Dick, Architectural Designer Josh Edington-Lalande, and Builder Jason Mann, LIVEABLE combines health, design and construction expertise into one integrated team focused on creating homes that better support the people living in them.

With extensive experience across both hospital and community Occupational Therapy and residential design and build, we recognised a growing need for practical alternatives for people experiencing functional change, whether through ageing, injury, illness or reduced mobility. Too often, people feel they have limited options when their homes no longer meet their needs. LIVEABLE was established to help provide another path forward.

At the heart of LIVEABLE is the belief that good design can enhance both independence and quality of life. From new builds, future-proof home planning and accessibility renovations through to multi-generational living solutions and tailored home modifications, every project is approached with a strong focus on functionality, safety and thoughtful design.

Most importantly, LIVEABLE is about enabling choice, helping people to continue to live comfortably and confidently in the homes and communities that matter most to them.

Service Description
Service Description
LIVEABLE is an integrated home modification service that brings together an Occupational Therapist, an Architectural Designer, and a Master Builder as one team. We specialise in safe, beautiful and functional home modifications and new builds that support older people to live independently in their own homes.
Our process begins with an in-home Occupational Therapy assessment to understand your health, daily routines, and how you move through your home. Our Architectural Designer then translates those findings into a tailored design so you can experience the spatial flow, light and layout of your home before it's built and prepares the documentation needed for Building Consent.
Our wonderful Builder manages the construction from start to finish, with clear communication, transparent costings, and a Halo 10-Year Residential Guarantee on completion.
Projects can range from a single accessible bathroom and level-access entry through to full renovations and new builds designed for ageing in place. We also look at:
Future-proof home planning
Home accessibility upgrades
Accessible bathroom/kitchen renovations
Functional home modifications
Multi-generational living solutions

Every project is individually designed around the client, functional doesn't have to mean clinical, and we create homes that are accessible, safe, and feel like home.
