About Lady Allum
In our brand new Care Centre, Lady Allum is now offering Dementia Rest Home Level in a secured unit.
Lady Allum offers a unique and highly personalised approach to Dementia care with our beautiful new Care Suites.
Lady Allum follows the Ruawai Philosophy of care, a Montessori based approach where person-centred care is at the heart of what we do. Our specially trained staff work to understand our residents as individuals to discover their history, needs, likes, and dislikes. This helps us to provide tailored care and find meaningful ways for residents to spend their day.
Our Care Suites are spacious and comfortable, with a larger floor space than typical care rooms, a kitchenette and roomy private ensuite. Our design team have carefully considered the environment to meet the needs of a person with dementia. From sensor lights in the bathroom, tranquil colours with the absence of confusing patterns, to viewing windows into communal areas, careful thought has been put into the little details.
The living spaces are open, welcoming and secure, and residents have access to a safe and tranquil sensory garden. Our team provides a number of suitable activities that can help residents connect to familiar pursuits such as music therapy, art activities, sensory activities, exercise, cognitive activities and more.

Lady Allum offers a warm, vibrant, welcoming environment, with substantial space for residents and families to get together - either in the lounges, courtyards or any one of the many seating areas in the wide corridors.
The staff are friendly and caring and are supported by two highly experienced Clinical Managers.
The Activity Team put on a weekly Activity Programme, which residents are invited to and assisted to attend. There’s a wide variety of activities with something for everyone - from outings in the van to entertainers for our weekly Happy Hour.
Oceania’s award winning I Love Music programme makes it easy for you to enjoy the music you love anytime, anywhere. We help you reconnect with all your favourites, from big band to classical, by providing you with an mp3 player loaded with your own unique music playlist.
Lady Allum is conveniently situated close to the Milford town centre and mall - with supermarkets, banks and shops. It is also very close to North Shore Hospital and the medical services along Shakespeare Road. Only 3.5 kms from Shore City and Takapuna Library, Takapuna Beach and Bruce Mason Centre.

We offer a range of Premium rooms in different sizes, each with varying features to suit your needs and budget. Depending on the room you choose, features may include an ensuite or Jack and Jill bathroom, a pleasant outlook, or outdoor access, helping you feel comfortable and at home.
Our Care Suites offer space, flexibility and extra features. Suitable for either Rest Home or Hospital care, you don’t have to move if your needs change between these levels. All Care Suites come complete with a heat pump and full en-suite bathroom, as well as a kitchenette with a fridge and a kettle – perfect for making a cuppa when friends and family come to visit. You own the right to occupy your Care Suite, so you can personalise it with your favourite furniture and treasured pieces. A Health New Zealand – Te Whatu Ora assessment is not required for care that is paid for privately.

If you intend to 'purchase' you must get independent legal advice before signing your occupation right agreement as required under The Act.
