Special features

The inevitability of advancing age comes to us all. There comes a time when the associated loss of independence, increasing frailty and sense of being alone needs to be acknowledged and plans made from the future. Kolmar Lodge Rest Home, will provide a balance of quality nursing care that encourages independence and individuality.

The home is run with a minimum of regulations. Residents are free to lead their own independent lifestyles.

However those experiencing ill health and loneliness or just not coping well, have our staff right there when they need them. Encouragement to communicate, mix with others and develop interests is one of the concerns for our staff.

Our home is designed to meet the needs of elderly people whilst maintaining a sense of homeliness.

The Villa has 18 rooms and furniture, Call system, Smoke Detectors and Fire Sprinklers throughout. The Lounge, Sun- rooms and Dining room area provide relaxed atmosphere.

The New Wing has its own Dining room and 8 rooms (all with hand basin and toilet).

We have lots of outside seating areas which our residents really enjoy.
