About Kingfisher House

Kingfisher House is privately owned and is part of the Kumeu Village Family. www.kumeuvillage.co.nz
Providing secure dementia care in a homelike environment.
We are not a institutional care facility, we are a home overseen by professionals with years of experience committed to providing an environment that allows dignity and independence to remain intact and provides comfort to those living with Dementia and their families.
We are pet friendly so residents do not have to part with their furry friends.
We welcome visitors (outside of Covid ) for a cup of tea or coffee, we are here to help you on your journey and can answer any questions you may have.

We are fully certified with the Ministry of Health and the DHB. We accept fully funded residents however there is an extra charge per day to cover our staffing ratios . Some rooms available with no premium charge.

What's included in your fees and what's not?

All services are included excluding hairdressing , podiatry and special outings that may have admission fees ie a trip to the Zoo or a movie.

Details about meals

Meals are cooked on site in the open plan kitchen by the team, residents are encouraged to take part in the meal preparation if they enjoy this. Meals are enjoyed at the dining room tables set with freshly laundered linen and napkins.
