What's included in your fees and what's not?

All hotel services including personal laundry provided in cost.

All meals provided including morning and afternoon teas and snacks as desired. Facilities for tea and coffee and heating food in each unit

Suburban setting with extensive sheltered gardens including rose garden and gazebo.

Nursing students from Whitiriea Polytechnic and care giver students from a variety of institutions undertake learning experience and add to our daily experiences.

Interests & activities

Activity programme: We have an extensive daily activity programme with a variety of activities suitable for clients of all abilities. Some activities such as Pacific Island music and drumming for people of other cultures.
Family members welcome

Advocacy Services, Age Concern and Alzhiemers visits on request and as required

Massage and Aromatherapy: used by nursing staff

Big print books: An extensive collection

Blind Foundation and Hearing Association Affiliations

Board games and Jigsaw Puzzles: We have a large collection. Quiz sessions weekly

Meal choices, Breakfast in bed and special diets catered for. Vegetarian option available

Canine friends visit weekly. Budgies and fish in house

Care and Craft (some rsidents go to Care 'n' Craft on Wednesdays, held at local Church).

Chapel: available to all denominations and faiths. Weekly Anglican and Catholic Services. Anglican Chaplain on staff.

Singing and sing a longs weekly and weekly classical music appreciation group

Parties: Families are welcome to celebrate family occasions in our hall. Catering and catering facilities available

RSA: We are within walking distance of the local RSA and have close association with them. Many of the men and women in our facility are RSA members
