WELCOME TO ILAM Retirement and Care Arvida
Our aim is to provide the best possible living experience for people in their later years. We have taken the utmost care to create an environment that fulfills the needs of individuals, whether they are seeking an independent lifestyle, or requiring more support.
Designed by respected architect Paul Foley, Ilam Retirement and Care Arvidav offers premium apartments and studios in a warm and welcoming environment. All units are private and self-contained, yet fully serviced by our trained staff to provide peace of mind and the ultimate in comfort and security. There is also a village arcade and a variety of lounges, dining areas and outdoor gardens where residents can socialise and enjoy fresh air and change of scenery.

Details about meals
We have a qualified chef who provides wonderful meals that are interesting, attractive and good for you. We work on a five week menu that changes daily. Our meals are most memorable!
Special features
We take security very seriously. The village is constantly under security surveillance, with access controlled by electronic gates. Security staff are on site every day of the year, and each unit has a nurse call button for immediated assistance, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Ilam Retirement and Care Arvida has been designed to allow maxium enjoyment of the outdoors. A variety of sunny, yet sheltered outdoor areas add to the feeling of a social village environment.
We are conveniently located in a pleasant residential area
We are close to Westfield (Riccarton) Mall and the Bush Inn Centre Mall
There are churches nearby
There is a bus route at the gate, including the Orbiter for easy travel to the city and suburbs.

We arrange a wide variety of activities for our residents. These can be in house or part of a planned outing by the home or one of its support groups.

NOTE: The Retirement Villages Act 2003 (The Act) is designed to provide improved protection for people who 'buy' into a retirement village. If you intend to 'purchase' you must get independent legal advice before signing your occupation right agreement as required under The Act. Some Retirement Village type facilities are not required to register under The Act so different legal requirements apply. Please make sure you investigate fully.
In some villages there may be some Retirement Village units that have multiple uses e.g. a Serviced Apartment may also be used as a Residential Care Suite. The same unit may therefore show in several places on Eldernet.
