About Holly Lea Village
The Holly Lea Care Centre prioritises a holistic approach to dementia care, offering upscale and personalised services up to hospital level. One notable aspect is its specialised memory support unit, designed to cater specifically to the needs of residents with dementia.
The care suites are meticulously designed with a residential feel, aiming to create a homely and private space for each resident. Features such as private ensuite bathrooms and custom cabinetry for personal treasures add to the comfort and sense of familiarity.
In terms of entertainment and engagement, the inclusion of a 55-inch television in each suite and innovative tools like the Tovertafel (magic table) speaks to the commitment to enhancing residents' quality of life. The Tovertafel encourages interaction and engagement through animated lights, stimulating residents' senses and promoting social interaction.
Moreover, the presence of the Wellness Nordic Relaxation Chair further demonstrates the centre's dedication to providing unique and calming sensory experiences. Our residents are the centre of our care and at the heart of our everyday activities and services. A dedicated Care Manager and Clinical Manager oversee our trained Registered Nurses and Healthcare Assistants.
We are passionate about what we are doing and strive every day to deliver the best possible care services based on the individual needs of our residents. Our care is delivered in partnership with each resident. Through open communication with each resident we deliver the best care and services to support them to live their life to the fullest.
All Care Suites are warm and spacious. Each Suite includes soft furnishings, together with a kitchenette including microwave, fridge, and tea and coffee making facilities. Residents can also enjoy the Wellness Nordic relaxation chair from Denmark which combines tactile stimulation, music, and a rocking motion, to offer an inimitable and calming multi-sensory experience.

Interests & activities
Holly Lea are closely linked with several community organisations which come to us on a regular basis. The Royal overseas League ladies have their monthly meeting at Holly lea with some very interesting speakers visiting. Christchurch Orchestra is a regular guest at Holly Lea Fendalton Library visits every month with a great variety of reading material.
We also offer an activity program, Board games, Cards, Care and Craft, Chapel, Classical Music, Craft, Entertainment, Exercises, Garden, Library, Music, Outings among many other things.

If you intend to 'purchase' you must get independent legal advice before signing your occupation right agreement as required under The Act. Some Retirement Village type facilities are not required to register under The Act so different legal requirements apply. Please make sure you investigate fully.
In some villages there may be some Retirement Village units that have multiple uses e.g. a Serviced Apartment may also be used as a Residential Care Suite. The same unit may therefore show in several places on Eldernet.
