Heretaunga is located on Field Street in Silverstream, one of Upper Hutt’s most established and peaceful neighbourhoods. The centre provides Rest Home, Hospital care and Dementia care, delivered by a compassionate team who prioritise dignity, comfort and personalised support. Rooms are warm and inviting, with Premium options including spacious Care Suites. Shared lounges, dining areas and garden spaces are designed to feel peaceful and homelike, helping residents settle in with ease.

Our Care Suites offer space, flexibility and extra features. Suitable for either Rest Home or Hospital care, you don’t have to move if your needs change between these levels. All Care Suites come complete with a heat pump and full en-suite bathroom, as well as a kitchenette with a fridge and a kettle – perfect for making a cuppa when friends and family come to visit. You own the right to occupy your Care Suite, so you can personalise it with your favourite furniture and treasured pieces. A Health New Zealand – Te Whatu Ora assessment is not required for care that is paid for privately.

NOTE: The Retirement Villages Act 2003 (The Act) is designed to provide improved protection for people who 'buy' into a retirement village. If you intend to 'purchase' you must get independent legal advice before signing your occupation right agreement as required under The Act. Some Retirement Village type facilities are not required to register under The Act so different legal requirements apply. Please make sure you investigate fully.
In some villages there may be some Retirement Village units that have multiple uses e.g. a Serviced Apartment may also be used as a Residential Care Suite. The same unit may therefore show in several places on Eldernet.
