About Golden View Care
At Golden View Care, we care with heart, providing a safe, nurturing environment where residents live active and fulfilling lives. We are located in Cromwell, Central Otago, within a short walk to the Cromwell township and in easily accessible distance to key locations such as Queenstown, Wanaka, Clyde and Arrowtown.
Golden View Care provides Rest Home, Hospital, Respite, Palliative and Dementia care options. We are unique to Central Otago in that a variety of care options exist onsite, giving you the option to increase your care level at the right time, whilst remaining in your home environment. We offer:
• One bedroom serviced apartments with ensuite bathrooms (some apartments will accommodate a couple). A range of care options are available, with support delivered up to rest home level.
• Care bedrooms with ensuites, with support delivered up to hospital/dementia level.
We also offer independent living villas (see our Golden View Village page for more information).
Our compassionate, skilled team is carefully trained to provide support, companionship and individualised care to our residents. We feel a deep sense of responsibility to our people and their families and whanau, and fostering trust is integral to the way we care.
We offer a full calendar of engaging in-house activities and events, as well as regular outings to local places of interest. We also offer residents the opportunity to participate in Ran-fit, our own ACC approved and accredited strength and balance class. Our home is surrounded by panoramic mountain views and extensive garden areas – providing a serene setting for you to sit and reflect, or to chat with friends and loved ones.

NOTE: The Retirement Villages Act 2003 (The Act) is designed to provide improved protection for people who 'buy' into a retirement village. If you intend to 'purchase' you must get independent legal advice before signing your occupation right agreement as required under The Act. Some Retirement Village type facilities are not required to register under The Act so different legal requirements apply. Please make sure you investigate fully.
In some villages there may be some Retirement Village units that have multiple uses e.g. a Serviced Apartment may also be used as a Residential Care Suite. The same unit may therefore show in several places on Eldernet.
