Hi, my name is Joseph Jose, and I’m very excited to be the owner of Driving Miss Daisy Glenfield / Northcote.
I have lived on Auckland’s North Shore for the past 6 years. I graduated from AUT with a Postgraduate qualification in Mechanical Engineering, and I have also completed the New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Level 4). This combination of technical training and health sector study has given me a strong focus on safety, reliability and quality of care when working with people.
For past last 5 years I have worked as a support worker, assisting clients with day-to-day activities, appointments, and getting out into the community. This experience has taught me the importance of patience, clear communication, and treating every person with dignity and respect.
Driving Miss Daisy is a service I feel personally connected to, as it combines safe, reliable transport with real human support and companionship. I particularly enjoy working with elderly clients and people with additional needs. My goal is to help clients maintain their independence, feel confident getting to appointments and social outings, and know they are always in caring, reliable hands. As the owner, I will be hands on in the day to day running of the business and working alongside a small team of trained companion drivers who share the same values of kindness, reliability and genuine care.
Our Glenfield / Northcote franchise operates a small, efficient fleet of comfortable vehicles. A wheelchair accessible Caddy is available, along with two additional cars, so we can cater for clients with different mobility needs.
We understand that whānau sometimes need support outside normal hours, so we are happy to take bookings for evenings and weekends by arrangement.
