About Cook Street Nursing Care Centre
We, Wayne and Anna, purchased Cook Street Nursing Care Centre on the 22nd November 2017. We are very proud to be the owner operators of this small and special home for older adults needing care into their twilight years. We believe we are the only privately owned and operated facility left in Palmerston North. This gives us a unique opportunity to make decisions on the spot and tailor care to individual resident and family needs. We are also able to accommodate respite care or private recuperation dependent on vacancies.
We are very proud to have audit on audit four year certifications recognizing the high quality care the team provides at Cook Street Nursing Care Centre.

Details about meals
There is never any shortage of food. Breakfast is around 8am and served either communally or in your room. Morning tea is around 10 and is home baking often a savoury in the morning. Lunch is at midday and is usually a combination of something hot, some sandwiches, soup and fresh fruit. Afternoon tea is served at 2.30 and is often a home baked sweet - like a slice or cake. Our main meal is served at 5pm and is a full hot meal with a home made dessert. All food is cooked on site and we cater to middle of the range tastes, nothing very exotic, but yummy, wholesome home cooked meals all dietician checked to be healthy and nutritious. If you have special needs they are discussed at enquiry and worked through.
