About Castlewood Home

Do you enjoy breakfast in bed? Would you like to go for coffee at your favourite local cafe? You can still do those things when you live at Presbyterian Support Otago's Castlewood.

Castlewood joined PSO’s Enliven community in 2022. It is a 22-bed care home where you are encouraged to retain connections with friends and favourite places in your community. Staff and volunteers work alongside you and your family to achieve those things that are important to you.

Situated in the heart of Alexandra township, Castlewood is a place where these things make for healthier living: a sense of community; friends, family and whanau; giving and receiving; making decisions for yourself; and most of all, practical support when you need it.
Staff will do everything they can to help residents and families experience a good transition to living at Castlewood, and they welcome family input into creating the right ‘personal feel’ for their loved one.

There is also a smooth transition for residents when they are needing more support, as PSO’s Ranui care home is also located in Alex. A move into hospital level care or into the Memory Care unit at Ranui can be facilitated with a minimum of disruption.

Get in touch with Castlewood Manager Leigh McLeod on 03 448 8280, and come and see for yourself why Castlewood could be the right choice for you.

Enliven - Vaccination Policy
In line with Government requirements and PSO’s commitment to health and safety, all Enliven staff and volunteers are fully vaccinated.
We would prefer that all residents are vaccinated, and we can facilitate this for those who are not yet vaccinated.
