Domain Lodge provides a welcoming, modern, self catering “home away from home” for people who live more than 100km from Auckland and need to stay close to treatment. Guests may bring one support person (18+). Set in peaceful gardens near Auckland City Hospital, Domain Lodge is close to public transport, shops, and the Auckland Domain. While priority is given to people with cancer, accommodation is also available to the public. Income from public bookings helps us provide fully subsidised stays for people undergoing treatment. Transport to Treatment – Volunteer Driving Service Getting to treatment can be challenging. Our free driving service may be able to help. Trained volunteer drivers can pick you up from home, take you to your treatment appointment, and bring you safely home again. Description
| Since 1929, the Cancer Society has supported people with cancer and their whānau. Cancer Society Auckland Northland is the largest of the six regional divisions, supporting more than one third of New Zealand’s population from Domain Lodge in Auckland and Daffodil House in Whangārei. We provide free emotional and practical support, fund lifesaving cancer research, and advocate for policies that reduce cancer risk and improve cancer care. As our communities grow, we are expanding our services and reach across the Auckland Northland region so more people can access support closer to home.
