About Bupa Remuera Care Home

Bupa Remuera Care Home logo

At Remuera Care Home, we pride ourselves on our welcoming, sociable environment. Our goal and commitment to you is to help you live the best life possible, supported physically, emotionally and socially and to be as independent as you wish.

Our boutique care home offers 43 beautifully appointed premium suites, owned by Bupa which was established in the UK in 1947 and now has 48 care homes across New Zealand.

Remuera Care Home has recently been refurbished to a high standard. We are pleased to offer larger than usual rooms with ensuite bathroom facilities, access to garden or balconies and lovely views from upper level rooms. Residents have access to wifi for two devices.

We pride ourselves on our experienced, caring and stable staff. Remuera Care Home has 24 hour Registered Nurse coverage and a NP/GP on call for consultation 24/7.

Our Care Home has achieved 4 year's accreditation which is the highest achievement (the average is 3 years). The Ministry of Health report is available online.

We provide a robust activities programme including Tai Chi and mindfulness, poetry and Shakespeare conversation, daily exercise, games, quizzes and regular outings in the Village van to places of interest in the community.

Our kitchen provides healthy and appealing meals cooked on site. Enjoy a glass of wine with your dinner if you so choose, and join in with Happy Hour every Thursday!

We are situated very conveniently with the Meadowbank Centre across the road and the popular Meadow Cafe nearby. Kohimarama and St Heliers are a short drive away for visits with friends and family.

You can be sure of individual attention from our kind staff who understand that little things make a difference. They’ll support you in every way to maintain your contact and communications with family and friends who may not live close by through video calls and social media.

We make the effort to understand each resident’s likes and dislikes, and we build our care around these, letting your preferences shape your day. We encourage our residents to decorate their rooms with furniture and treasured memories from their homes. At Remuera Care Home we live our Bupa Purpose every day: Longer, Healthier, Happier Lives.
