Situated on the outskirts of Taupō, Liston Heights Care Home enjoys a picturesque location, with beautiful views of the mountains and Lake Taupō.

At Liston Heights, our residents will always find something to do – whether it’s getting involved in our activities programme or choosing to enjoy their own company in their large bedrooms, with the convenience of ensuites and kitchenettes.

Bupa Liston Heights Retirement Village is located on site, providing independent living options alongside a sense of community and proximity to loved ones.

Our dementia unit is small and homely with daily activities keeping our residents busy if they want. We have a very dedicated team led by a Registered Nurse. We have renovated our outdoor section to include a beautiful sunny deck area

All our residents receive the same consistent level of high-quality care. Then you have the option to choose between either standard or premium accommodation. Standard rooms attract no premium fees or additional charges.

You can be sure of companionship, comfort and security at Liston Heights. It's a happy, friendly place with a strong community spirit and a reputation for skilled compassionate care. If you join us, we know you will soon make new friends and feel right at home.

The rest home is unique in that all rooms other than the short-term respite care rooms, are spacious studio units. These units are configured as bed sits with full ensuite and a kitchenette that has a small fridge with tea making facilities. Residents are therefore able to enjoy visits from family and friends in the comfort and privacy of their own rooms if they choose to do so.

Interests & activities

A range of activities happen each day on an individual and group level which changes on a regular basis. We cater for people's special interests and hobbies. We also have a qualified Diversional Therapist as our Activities Coordinator and have activities on 7 days a week. It is important to us that you live your day your way.
