We at Briargate are committed to assisting each and every resident to maintain quality of life.
We do this by providing a secure, caring home-like environment, respectful of privacy and recognising individuality,ensuring competent nursing and medical care to meet and enhance the residents needs for physical mental and spiritual wellbeing. We believe and uphold the Code of Rights and are committed to continuous quality improvements in our Dementia Home.

Availability

Yes we have availability

Fully secure specialist dementia facility. All rooms have a toilet ensuite. We are here to accommodate you and help with giving you, the full time carer, a well earned break. Should you require any information or assistance we are only a phone call away and would be only to happy to assist. What's included in your fees and what's not?

Dementia Care is more of a specialised area and you will find that the fees are a little higher than Rest Home fees
We are happy to discuss the fees with you at time of inquiry

Details about meals

All meals cooked on the facility and tailored to suit the residents, We cater for Diabetics, Vegeterians,Religious preference and soft diets. No processed foods.

Special features

Fully secure care catering for people suffering from some form of Dementia

Main focus is on Activities and outings 56 hours of diversion available

Can take people under 65.YPD contract

Interests & activities

We are in close proximity to parks, shops/malls, public transport and library. Full time Diversional Therapy. All residents are encouraged to participate in activities of interest to them.
Advocate, Age Concern, Alzheimer's Society, Aromatherapy, BBQ, Board games, Bowls, Breakfast in bed, Canine friends, Care and Craft,, Children (kapahaka groups and choir visit), Church, Concerts, Cooking, Craft, Dancing (this is part of our activity programme and a number of our residents really enjoy this), Email, Entertainers, Entertainment, Exercises, Fax, Games, Garden (cicular garden in inner court-yard - some residents also enjoy helping in the garden), Gardening, Happy Hour (Fridays), Indoor Games, Interdenominational, Jigsaw, , Meal choices, Minibus, Music, Newspaper reading, Piano Outings, Park, Parkinson's Society, Parties (we celebrate many special occasions and all our residents birthdays with a special cake/treats), Pastoral care, Pianist, Quizzes, Reading, Religious services, Shopping, Sing-a-longs, Singing, Videos, Vegetarian, Visitors are welcome at all times.,
