Details about meals

A wide variety of nutritious meals are offered at Birchleigh. Individual likes and dietary requirements are catered for, and the menu is revised every six weeks. Fresh fruit is readily available.

Special features

Birchleigh's Rest Home Unit is known as "Silverstream" which a reference to the area of the Taieri Plains it looks out on. The unit is surrounded by a restful garden. We are some distance from any major roads or industrial sites, so the unit offers a very quiet and peaceful setting.

Mosgiel township is approximately 1.5 km from the Birchleigh facility. Mosgiel sits at the northern end of the Taieri Plains, so the terrain is entirely flat.

Dunedin's main shopping centre is approximately 17 km from Mosgiel. A large proportion of this is motorway driving on SH1. The time to travel from Mosgiel to Dunedin is approximately 20 minutes.

There are a number of parks around Mosgiel, the closest of which are approximately 2.0 km from Birchleigh.
