At Remuera Gardens, our care is designed to support you every step of the way. Our spacious Care Suites (30–40m²) are beautifully appointed and fully furnished, offering a warm, secure environment where you can enjoy comfort, peace of mind and a place you'll be proud to call home.
We offer two levels of care to meet your changing needs.
Beattie Lodge offers Rest Home Care in spacious Care Suites, each with a private balcony overlooking our beautiful, established gardens. Residents receive personalised support with daily living, including assistance with personal care, medication management, nutritious meals, housekeeping and laundry, while maintaining as much independence as possible.
Kensington House offers Hospital Care, providing 24-hour nursing and clinical support for residents with higher care needs. Our experienced team delivers compassionate, personalised care around the clock, ensuring residents receive the medical attention they need while enjoying the comfort, familiarity and privacy of their own suite.
Every Care Suite has been thoughtfully designed to provide comfort, convenience and dignity. Features include:
• A fully adjustable hospital bed
• Floor-to-ceiling windows with lovely garden views
• A generous walk-in wardrobe
• A spacious, purpose-built ensuite with level access, underfloor heating, heated towel rail and plenty of room for assistance if required
• A comfortable lounge and dining area with a kitchenette, fridge and essential appliances
• A two-seat dining setting and side cabinet
• A flat-screen television
• A comfortable, adjustable recliner chair that can also be wheeled from room to room if needed

Special features
Kensington House is a resthome within the Remuera Gardens Village. It is licensed as a 32 bed Stage 11 Rest Home and as such all residents must be medically assessed prior to entry. Kensington House is licensed to accommodate people who require a high level of support. It is important to note that the Rest Home is not a hospital nor is it licensed to accommodate people with advanced Alzheimer or dementia who are at risk of wandering.
Priority for entry to Kensington House is given to all residents of Remuera Gardens.
Built in conjunction with the Village, Kensington House is an important facility and is able to provide accommodation for people who are unable to retain their independence on a day to day basis.
Staff are both supportive and caring. Your individuality is respected.

NOTE: The Retirement Villages Act 2003 (The Act) is designed to provide improved protection for people who 'buy' into a retirement village. If you intend to 'purchase' you must get independent legal advice before signing your occupation right agreement as required under The Act. Some Retirement Village type facilities are not required to register under The Act so different legal requirements apply. Please make sure you investigate fully.
In some villages there may be some Retirement Village units that have multiple uses e.g. a Serviced Apartment may also be used as a Residential Care Suite. The same unit may therefore show in several places on Eldernet.
