We have a dedicated activities co-ordinator who provides an interesting and stimulating programme of activities for our residents.
Our programme includes: a variety of guest speakers and musical entertainers who perform on-site, shopping trips, visits to the library visits, hydrotherapy at the local pool, scenic drives and an exercise programme. We are visited regularly by Canine Friends and local children’s groups. Our on-site activities include walking, cards, bingo, board games, bowls, art and crafts, flower arranging, jigsaws, quizzes, sing-alongs and movies. On site we also have a BBQ, big print books, a log fire, and access to email, fax, internet and Sky TV. We host a number of events and parties on-site and also host a regular Happy Hour for residents. Residents are invited to also join in on van outings throughout the week. These outings usually consist of a shopping trip and a morning tea or afternoon tea out. We have lots of beautiful roses in our gardens, and residents are welcome to help (or just watch) our gardener David. Other organisations we access are advocate services, Age Concern, Alzheimer's Society, Arthritis society, Blind Foundation, Golden Oldies, Greypower, Rotary, RSA, Senior Citizens, Stroke Group, TAB, Womens Institute, Lions, Senior Citizens, and the Parkinson's Society, Stroke Group |
