About Ohope Beach Care
A rest home within walking distance to the beautiful Ohope Beach
Ohope Beach Care is a 25 bed Secure Dementia unit with 11 Resthome beds. This is an ideal home for those who like living in a small group of people with a love of the sea!
We are privately owned by Adrian Davies.
Our mission statement developed some time ago and still relevant to day is as follows:
Ohope Beach Care will provide an environment in which our Residents may live in an atmosphere of respect and friendship, have their physical, emotional and cultural needs met so that the Residents well being is maintained or enhanced.

Our fees are governed by the BOPDHB and the Ministry Of Health
Details about meals
All our yummy home cooked meals are lovingly prepared and cooked by our experienced kitchen team, Leed by Melissa Edwards.
With a delicious and nutritious menu of 4 weeks rolling including Boil up once a month, hangi for special occasions and catering for celebrations Melissa will hand ice a cake for each resident's birthday. Our Rest Home Whanau also enjoy a cooked breakfast once a month.
Special features
Ohope Beach care is 3 minutes walk from the beautiful Ohope Beach. All our Elders are able to walk and smell the ocean which brings a lot of joy to many.
Interests & activities
We do offer Van Drives, Organized School productions as well as Art and crafts, Floral Art, Gardening, walks to the beach, Housie, Bowls, Skittles, Quoits ,chair exercises, Sing Along's, Dancing, Monthly visits by the EBOP Alleles Ukelle Group, Weekly live Piano Music By Alister and Lyn, Newspaper reading, Quizzes, Manicure, Pampering, Massage, News Born Therapy, Music Therapy, Chess, Scrabble, Ball Games, Ballon Tennis and of course our Happy Hour all spread out over the month.
