Description
St Albans' Retirement Village is a friendly inclusive village, located close to the central city. We have sunny, spacious, refurbished studios and apartments with indoor and outdoor living. Our lovely established manicured gardens and outdoor areas make for a peaceful and tranquil setting all round. We can provide independent living ,respite, rest home and hospital care, in a warm and friendly professional environment. We have wonderful, very caring, professional staff, some who have been here for many years.
Our new cafe on site is enjoyed by residents, family and friends. The Cafe is also open to the public.
Currently open Monday to Friday 9:00 am -2.30 pm.

Our serviced studios and apartments are designed so you can have tailored care to support your independence and freedom. The personalised care packages available are from independence to rest home level care, allowing you to stay in your own apartment and studio. As your needs change the care services can increase. We offer continuum of care including hospital level care.

We have 21 modern, brand new 2 bedroom independent Living Well apartments which are available to view now! These independent units are high spec with beautiful spacious kitchen/living area. Each unit features 2 bedrooms with a large bathroom and extra toilet.

Our vision is to improve the lives and well being of our residents by the attitude of Living Well. We challenge ourselves to make our residents’ lives better with everything we do. If something is important to you we will try to make it happen.

You will have the opportunity to see our beautiful Living well apartments which opened early 2020, these two-bedroom apartments enhance your independent lifestyle with the benefits of living in a supportive environment.

Then we have our one-bedroom serviced apartments and studios you can view which are great for people who need a little more support and care on a daily basis, such as help with meals and housekeeping. Plus you will be able to talk to us around any of our care packages or how we can tailor the options to suit you.

Our drinks and nibbles will be served in our very own site Café, Café on Caledonian.
This Café is enjoyed by residents, families, and people who live and work in the local neighborhood.
The café serves excellent barista-made coffee, delightful sweet treats and hearty lunches.

If you cant make our open day than you are welcome to pop in anytime, the café is open 9am - 2.30pm.

Public Transport   We have an excellent bus service not far from our front gate.
Shops   The local dairy is only 100m from our front gate. The Edgeware shops are 10 minutes walk or 2 minutes by bus.
Mall   Merivale Mall is close by and Northlands Mall is an easy bus ride
Parks   Abberley Park is a lovely boutique park close by. Hagley Park is only a 15 minute walk away.
Library   Our closest public library is in Peterborough St. We also run a monthly library exchange programme, offering a range of Christchurch City Library stock.
