We have rest home dementia level rooms available. With views of our lovely garden, all rooms are single occupancy in a family orientated setting, with no premium fees. We have our own cook on site that provides beautiful meals, and all residents on a Friday get to enjoy a Happy Hour. Our Facility has an RN on site Monday to Friday with exceptionally supportive carers 24/7 with specialty training in Dementia giving families peace of mind. Our activities team also provide a comprehensive activities programme for all residents to enjoy. | |

Alden Lakewood is situated in the suburb of Shirley and is Christchurch's only care home exclusively for people with Dementia. Our 36-bed facility is a safe and supportive environment that prioritises the well-being and dignity of each resident. We understand the overwhelming challenges faced by those living with Dementia and the impact it has on their families. Specialised staff receive ongoing training and extensive experience in dementia care and understanding engagement and social interaction are essential for mental and emotional well-being. Residents enjoy nutritional meals produced on-site by our talented kitchen team. Our recreation team comprises of qualified Diversional Therapists who work together to provide fun and stimulating activities and outings. We encourage family involvement and provide support to assist families in managing the challenges of dementia caregiving. Our secure, peaceful gardens offer a safe space for residents and their families to relax and enjoy together. |
