At Palliser House We provide a peaceful, safe and comforting environment for our residents with a warm country feel. We provide residential care for those who require a high level of medical care and support.

By working in partnership with residents and their family we provide personal tailormade care plans.

Gastronomy/Nasogastric Management Yes Our staff are suitably trained to manage any gastric/nasogastric requirements.
End of Life/Palliative Care Yes Generally speaking, people who are dying need care in four areas, physical comfort, mental and emotional needs, spiritual issues, and practical tasks. Their families need support as well. It is our goal to provide all of this at the end stage of life.
Wound Care Yes We have highly trained clinical nurses lead by our clinical coach who can provide the best care for any wounds requiring treatment.
Diabetic Care Yes All of our registered nurses are skilled to assist with the management of diabetes. We are able to support you with your diabetic needs.
Continence Advice Yes We have staff internally that are experienced and educated regarding incontinence products that are used within the facility and are more than happy to review your continence needs.
Stomal Therapy Yes We do not have a stomal therapist on staff, but if required we would refer to the DHB stomal services for advice.
Stroke Rehabilitation Yes If you have recently suffered a stroke, we can be part of your rehabilitation programme to assist you in your recovery.

Infection Control Yes Our organisation has a very robust infection control programme that has been endorsed by the Medical Officer of Health.
