About Radius Glaisdale

Radius Glaisdale logo

A lot can be said through our hands. A welcome. A goodbye. A steady arm to lean on. Passing a cup of tea.

At Radius Glaisdale, care is about more than helping hands. It is about supporting people in ways that fit where they are in life.

Set in the Flagstaff neighbourhood of Hamilton, Glaisdale is a place to feel at home. The atmosphere is warm and settled, with gardens to enjoy and spaces that make it easy to spend time together. Our team is here to welcome you, and to support you as part of our community.

Inside, there are spacious shared areas filled with natural light. We aim to create a place that feels familiar and friendly, where couples and friends with different care needs can stay connected.

Care and quality

Glaisdale was independently audited in March 2024 and received a four-year certification from the Ministry of Health. The audit assessed our care against health and disability standards and the contracts held with Health New Zealand, Te Whatu Ora Waikato. It included a review of policies and procedures, resident and staff files, observations, and interviews with residents, whānau, management, and staff. The home was also recognised for two continuous improvements.

If you’re searching for respite care for yourself or a loved one, we understand how important it is to find a supportive environment that feels like home. Respite care provides essential short-term support for individuals who may be unwell, recovering, or simply in need of a little extra help. Whether it’s just for a few days or up to a couple of weeks, respite care allows primary caregivers to take a well-deserved break while offering patients a refreshing change of scenery.

At Glaisdale, we warmly welcome respite residents into our community. Our compassionate and experienced team is dedicated to providing individualized care that meets the unique needs of each person. We pride ourselves on fostering an atmosphere of companionship and respect, ensuring that every resident feels valued and supported.

In some cases, respite care may be partially funded by the government, depending on your local health authority and an NASC (Needs Assessment Service Coordination) assessment.

If you’re considering respite care, we’re here to help. Give us a call, and we’ll guide you through the process and arrange a visit to Glaisdale. Let us show you how we can support you or your loved one during this time.
