Summerset care apartments available as a license to occupy are ideal for over 70's who are living independently at the moment but would feel more confident with support close at hand. These modern, mobility friendly apartments are warm, comfortable and full of features that make them easy to live in.

With a Summerset care apartment you can receive:
• help with cleaning, laundry and meals,
• personal care such as assistance with medication and showering, and
• nursing support up to rest home level.

With options for both couples and singles, care apartments offer a generous double bedroom, spacious separate living area with kitchenette, and an ensuite with accessible shower, grab rails and slip resistant flooring.

Care apartments come with the confidence of extra care and support on hand. Our range of service packages cover help with housekeeping, meals and personal care. And, if you've been assessed as needing rest home level care, there's no need to move. This can be provided in your care apartment (subject to availability). Our rest home level serviced apartments have received 3 year certification from the Ministry of Health to provide rest home level care.

With care apartments located in our modern village centre, it's easy to meet friends and family for coffee at our Divine Cafe and enjoy the facilities including our communal lounge, library, computers, pool table, exercise room, all-weather bowling green, hairdresser and indoor swimming pool. And, if you're keen to get involved, there are regular activities and events to keep you busy.

The Ministry of Health conducts regular audits of Residential Care Facilities. They can be found HERE.

NOTE: The Retirement Villages Act 2003 (The Act) is designed to provide improved protection for people who ‘buy’ into a retirement village. If you intend to ‘purchase’ you must get independent legal advice before signing your occupation right agreement as required under The Act. Some Retirement Village type facilities are not required to register under The Act so different legal requirements apply. Please make sure you investigate fully.

In some villages there may be some Retirement Village units that have multiple uses e.g. a Serviced Apartment may also be used as a Residential Care Suite. The same unit may therefore show in several places on Eldernet.
