Eden Village with its luxurious Care Suites, offers not only the very best in retirement living but also in rest home and hospital level care. From our concierge services team to our international chef, we’re here to help you to keep doing the things you love and provide all those extra touches that make life easy and enjoyable. And the good news is that no referral is required to move into a Care Suite.

All of the staff at Eden are here to help make your life easy and enjoyable. From our concierge services team who help you plan your week and fill your diary, to our internationally trained chef who creates delicious, beautifully presented meals, this is a place where you can be yourself, indulge in your favourite pastimes and live life on your own terms.

Living in your Care Suite is like having your own little apartment where you'll enjoy the flexibility and control you're used to, along with that bit of luxury you deserve. Choose from an open plan bedroom and lounge or separate bedroom and living spaces. All Care Suites have balconies, kitchenette with fridge and microwave, full ensuite bathroom and heat pump. Furnished with your own treasured pieces and personal touches, your Care Suite will quickly feel like home. A referral from a District Health Board Needs Assessor is not required to live in a Care Suite.

You've cared for others your whole life, now it's time to put yourself first! Care Suites offer you all the comforts of home along with the peace of mind that comes from knowing you'll get the very best care and support. With a restaurant, café, licensed bar, retail store and cinema on site, all the amenities you need are conveniently on hand.

Put Yourself First

Looking after your wellbeing is not just about taking care of your health. A sense of wellbeing comes from doing what you love - whether it’s engaging in activities that keep you connected to the community or pursuing a lifelong passion or hobby. We make it our priority to understand what’s really important to you.

Oceania’s award winning I Love Music programme makes it easy for you to enjoy the music you love anytime, anywhere. We help you reconnect with all your favourites, from big band to classical, by providing you with an mp3 player loaded with your own unique music playlist.

Sit down with one of our staff over a cup of tea and they’ll help you plan your diary for the weeks and months ahead. Sometimes it’s the logistics of managing day-to-day tasks and appointments that can get on top of you. We’re here to help so you can keep living life the way you always have without the fuss. Or maybe you want to try something new and you’re not sure where to start. We can get that sorted too. Life really can be easy and enjoyable when you live at Eden Village.

Activities Programme

Eden provides weekly and monthly programmes to cater for all needs. Culinary themed evenings - like The Great Gatsby, quiz evening, funology mornings along with Works of Art to name a few. We offer bus outings each week and entertainment that comes to us. We enjoy the community spirit with schools visiting and singing to residents. Our Sunday church service has become a nice social morning with a shared cup of tea afterwards. We also have a hobby room, pool table and regular movies on our big screen.

What’s Near By

Here in Mt Eden we are fortunate to have so much, close by. Mt Eden shops, swimming complex, local schools and churches along with motels for families who live out of Auckland. The local RSA memorial hall is down Dominion Road, which offers the Senior Net courses. St Luke’s shopping Centre is available for some serious retail therapy and a trip to the top of Mt Eden gives splendid views of the suburb and across Auckland city - which is just a short bus trip away. We have a special bond with Eden Gardens who offer free admission to our residents. Eden Village is centrally located, meaning a trip north or south is possible on our special bus excursions.

No referral required.

The Ministry of Health conducts regular audits of Residential Care Facilities. They can be found HERE.

NOTE: The Retirement Villages Act 2003 (The Act) is designed to provide improved protection for people who ‘buy’ into a retirement village. If you intend to ‘purchase’ you must get independent legal advice before signing your occupation right agreement as required under The Act. Some Retirement Village type facilities are not required to register under The Act so different legal requirements apply. Please make sure you investigate fully.

In some villages there may be some Retirement Village units that have multiple uses e.g. a Serviced Apartment may also be used as a Residential Care Suite. The same unit may therefore show in several places on Eldernet. The DHB Shared Services website provides additional information about this service.
