Visitors as usual (but not if you're unwell or recently returned from overseas)
Our Own Your Own retirement units are made up of brick and tile two bedroomed units with an internal garage. They are purchased from the Maungaturoto Community Charitable Trust and resold back to the Trust when vacated at the valuation price. Financial information is available through the Chairman of the Trust Craig Fergus and contact can be made through the Maungaturoto Rest Home Manager. At present there is a waiting list that the Manager of the rest home can be contacted for. The Retirement village has an age limit of over fifty five years old. There are at present fourteen OYO units that are occupied. The retirement village has a beautiful view of the Kaipara River. It is also possible to obtain a homemade main meal at lunchtime form the rest home which is delivered.

NOTE: The Retirement Villages Act 2003 (The Act) is designed to provide improved protection for people who ‘buy’ into a retirement village. If you intend to ‘purchase’ you must get independent legal advice before signing your occupation right agreement as required under The Act. Some Retirement Village type facilities are not required to register under The Act so different legal requirements apply. Please make sure you investigate fully.

In some villages there may be some Retirement Village units that have multiple uses e.g. a Serviced Apartment may also be used as a Residential Care Suite. The same unit may therefore show in several places on Eldernet.
