About Summerset Waikanae
Summerset’s newest village on the Kāpiti Coast, Summerset Waikanae, is already coming to life, with residents settling in and enjoying their beautiful new homes.
Set on a sunny, elevated site, the village offers an ideal coastal retirement lifestyle. Residents enjoy easy access to beaches, cafés, shopping, scenic walkways, and all the attractions of the Kāpiti Coast, along with convenient transport links, perfect for those seeking a relaxed yet well connected retirement.
The next exciting milestone is the opening of the village centre in April. This will become the heart of the village community, featuring a superb range of resort style facilities including a café, residents’ bar, library, and swimming pool. A welcoming space for residents to connect, relax, and enjoy village life.
The village centre will also be home to serviced apartments, care suites, and memory care apartments. These homes are selling off plans now, with move ins available from April (care is subject to certification, availability and eligibility criteria).
A range of brand new homes are available now, ready for you to move in and make your own. Call Anna on 04 293 0002 to arrange an appointment, or request a free information pack today.
*All Summerset homes are sold under a licence to occupy and are subject to availability. Summerset does not offer rental accommodation. Images are indicative.

Mythbusting - Retirement Villages are a rip-off
Why it’s considered a worthwhile investment.
NOTE: The Retirement Villages Act 2003 (The Act) is designed to provide improved protection for people who 'buy' into a retirement village. If you intend to 'purchase' you must get independent legal advice before signing your occupation right agreement as required under The Act. Some Retirement Village type facilities are not required to register under The Act so different legal requirements apply. Please make sure you investigate fully.
In some villages there may be some Retirement Village units that have multiple uses e.g. a Serviced Apartment may also be used as a Residential Care Suite. The same unit may therefore show in several places on Eldernet.
